Slideways is proud to team up with NASCAR’s three-time champion and World of Outlaw winning sprint car driver Tony Stewart and Kick-It, a partner of the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation, to host the second annual Kick-It kickball game at the Knoxville Nationals, sprint car racing’s most prestigious event. The 2013 event will feature four teams – two of the world’s best sprint car drivers, one of their wives and girlfriends, and the fourth team featuring fans that donate to the cause.
The fourth team of fans will be chosen by a first-ever go-karting race against Stewart at Slideways Karting Center. The first 50 donors to contribute $200 or more will be entered in the five heat race, and 20-lap feature event against Stewart on Wednesday of Nationals week.

The Des Moines Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, is an annual seven-day bicycle ride across the state. Heading into its 41st year, RAGBRAI is the oldest, largest and longest bicycle touring event in the world.For those of you who have never ridden, this rolling celebration of Iowa attracts participants from all 50 states and many foreign countries. It has covered thousands of miles through the years, and hundreds of thousands of riders have hopped in the saddle to pedal part of those miles.
This year the course is taking the bikers south on Highway 14 and right into Knoxville on Wednesday July 24th, and Slideways is planning to be in full force that day opening early for all the bikers and the public to enjoy. Free water and camping for the bikers, live music in the afternoon and of course we'll have the go karts out and running. More info to come soon!
