Saturday is Slideways Night at the Knoxville Raceway! Stop out and race at Slideways before you go to the famous 1/2 mile. Ask for discounted tickets to the Knoxville Raceway.

Come see the Skip Jackson #2 sprinter next to the replica #2 Kart. It should be ready for you to race after Slideways night.

The benefit was BIG!! Sounds like Nikolas and his family were very impressed. Thanks to everyone that is and was involved and contributed. You are real hero's to Nikolas! Today is the big day of the Benefit for Nikolas!!! 5:00pm - ? at Dyer Hudson Hall at the Knoxville Raceway. Dinner, Auction (Bring some money- lots of awesome stuff!!) and a Dance with Phoenix band. They ROCK!! See you there!

If it isn't raining, we will be racing at SLIDEWAYS KARTING CENTER...Give us a call if it is intermittent rain, cause we can run when the track dries out.

Sunday's "Race for Nikolas" was a great success. Beautiful weather, and lots of great people came out to support Nikolas and his family. Nikolas showed up for the whole event and seemed to be very happy with the turn out.

Remember, Friday May 9th, the benefit for Nikolas will start at 5:00PM at Dyer Hudson Hall, at the Knoxville Raceway. An Auction with loads of things to bid on, a dinner, and a dance with PHEONIX will be going on until late. Come out to support Nikolas and his family.

On another note: We have started leagues at Slideways, however, due to a very low turn out for the open league on Tuesday night, we will only have racing on Thursday night. This opens Tuesday night up for Track rentals....give us a call to schedule your own Nationals event. 641-828-6337.

On yet another note: Congrats to SKIP JACKSON and his #2 Slideways sprint car for a great showing for the LOCALS at the World of Outlaws race Saturday Night at the Knoxville Raceway! SKIP qualified 17th, ran 2nd in the B, and finished 18th in the A main. Now he is looking forward to a great opening points night this Saturday. GO SKIP!!!

For those of you that are ready to set up your own track rental for a spring "Nationals"...Now is the time...we have many openings days or evenings for your events. It is a perfect place for some team building for a corporate outing. We set up a racing format just like the Knoxville Raceway, but your company employees are the racers. Give us a call at 641-828-6337 to schedule an hour or two. Usually we can get 14-20 people through heat races and the D, C, B, and A main, within an hour to an hour and a half.

For those of you that might want to help a 4 year old out with cancer...Our partner at Slideways Karting Center, Jimmy Ball's son, was diagnosed with a Neuroblastoma this month, and the family is need of some financial help. We have decided to have a "Race for Nikolas" on Sunday May 4th, 2008, at 1:00pm, with proceeds to be given to his family at his benefit on May 9th at Dyer Hudson at the Knoxville Raceway. If you are not able to make the "Race for Nikolas", please make the benefit. The entry fee for the May 4th "Race for Nikolas" will be $25.00. ($20 for each racer will go to Nikolas). We will limit the entries to first come totaling 48 drivers. This format will be similar to the famous "Mini-Nationals". Your prize will be helping a 4 year old fight cancer. Use the "RACE FOR NIKOLAS" entry form to enter.

Let's not forget this weekend is World of Outlaw weekend at the Knoxville Raceway!!! Slideways Karting Center will be open at 1:00PM on Friday, April 25th and 10:00AM on Saturday, April 26th.

Due to the popular weather on Thursdays, we have decided to cancel the April League, and start with May Leagues on May 1st. Sounds like rain Friday, but call ahead if you are planning to come for open racing (641-828-6337) this weekend. Saturday forecast looks great...plan on being here at 1:00 PM until 10:00 PM...we will be racin'. For those of you coming for the opening night of Sprint Car racing at the Knoxville Raceway ...come here first.

It looks like another weekend of bad weather for racing. We will be closed on Friday and Saturday with snow in the forecast, but if Sunday shapes up a little, we may be able to get some racing in.
